V-Day: In Recap.

It was such a great Vday, that I felt a recap necessary … necessary for myself, so I don’t forget any of these special and memorable details.

It should be pretty clear from the above statement that The BF came through.

Big time.

I’ve got to admit — I was surprised and impressed. Both of which you should know are very hard to do, since I don’t impress and surprise easily.

I was flooded with romantic French sayings … really, a poem, sent in bits and pieces to me … which I loved, not only for the French, but the fact that The BF took time to look up and translate what he was sending so he could discuss it later with me.

Onto The Kok.

First, The BF looked smokin’ hot for our date. And smelled good. Killer combo for me. Oh, and he had some of my favorite flowers – Stargazer Lillies.

The food did not disappoint … I ate and ate and … ate some more. I’m a creature of habit, so naturally I got the Pad Thai {one of my all time fave dishes} with both beef and tofu. Best of both worlds.

It was a lovely and romantic dinner, sitting side by side and stealing kisses. I saw a couple of those envious, longing looks from my fellow females … who seemed to be with bump on a log type of guys. Poor things.

As we were getting ready to leave The Kok, in walked two of our dear friends. Completely unexpected and so perfect in its timing. So, we joined them for their dinner and I thought it was very fitting to be able to spend time with The BF and such great friends.

Dessert was left for home. I thought it was going to be either peanut butter cookies {fave cookie – you’re getting a lot of my “faves” in this post} or donuts. I had been craving donuts for a couple days and peanut butter cookies … well, I’m always up for one or five of those at a time.

Instead, I was completely surprised by creme brulee – which you already know my fondness of from France and chocolate covered strawberries – with Vouvray. My fave wine. If you dig the vino, and haven’t tried a Vouvray, immediately proceed to the nearest wine seller and buy one.

Plus there was the whole ambiance thing going on … candles, etc.

Yeah. It was perfect.

Topped off with Lululemon. Need I go on?

No. But I will. Because this morning, I discovered my fave dark chocolate in my bag that The BF had hid for me to find.

Talk about a great way to start a day – with chocolate!

And I had a cd waiting for me of my fave songs … especially some classic faves from Jay-Z and Outkast. Holla.

What I so enjoyed was that all of my favorite things were covered and that I know The BF actually takes the time to file away the things I like and remember these little details.

Such a good BF.
