While walking B under this Cherry Tree yesterday, I had a truly magical moment.

I had to stop, look up in awe and spend a few minutes taking in the pure beauty. From the color, to the way the cherry blossoms fell … I felt transported and infused with appreciation for trees, life and all nature.

It brought me back to a favorite, treasured spot of mine growing up: The Tidal Basin in D.C., during cherry blossom time.

How I would walk under those trees for hours, looking up, feeling as though I were staring at a little piece of heaven … It’s these sorts of moments, that I think I’m beginning to understand the statement:

Heaven On Earth.
