Hello, My Name Is.

Buddha.

That’s what I was greeted with this morning. Yep. One hell of a way to start the day.

Talk about divine timing. I had just told The BF and Brother last night that I was pretty damn sure we were going to instantly become enlightened at 9 a.m. this morning {at Zen} and look what happens — The Buddha himself, in the live and flesh, pops up.

Am I good or what?

Alright, so his real name might have been something like Richard or Roger or some other “R” sounding name, but I much prefer Buddha. Or maybe I’ll call him Big B, since he is pretty tall and big. Not fat big … just big.

Naturally, during meditation, I had to think about this Buddha introduction. Doesn’t take my mind much to go running off on some tangent. But I really liked where this one took me …

To a place of remembering, or make that re-member-ing {get it?}, that yes, we are all Buddha. We are all Jesus. We are all already our very own master and God.

I’m not really big on this organized religion thing, but I study it and I try to understand it and from what I understand … isn’t this what they all say — that we are made in the image and likeness of God, therefore we are, some part of us, God.

The Muslims and the Hindus and the Buddhists say this, too … just with slightly different words.

This literally takes my breath away.

It’s a lovely thing to remember — our own greatness and our own power.

How wonderful it would be if we all took time, everyday, to re-member that our mastery is already there, we just have to live into it. I want people — I want you — to know this. Because in that, there is an acknowledgement of seeing someone for who they truly are, and what they are becoming.

This uplifts.

And isn’t that what we’re here for … to uplift one another? To hold each other to these high standards that we’re capable of?
