Space Burn.

What kind of burn freaking burns {okay – slightly dumb – all burns burn} and hurts … like really, really bad?

A space heater burn. Amazing, but true. Just take my word for it, don’t go try anything crazy yourself.

I happen to have an aversion to cold weather, cold rooms, cold water … let’s leave it at basically cold anything. I’m pretty sure I died freezing to death in the Antarctic in another life.

This cold weather business … it’s something I am simply not cut out for. In another couple months, I’ll be California daydreaming and longing for a high of 65 in the dead of winter.

The BF’s bedroom happens to be cold … unusually cold in my humble opinion. He, naturally, thinks it’s not cold. But us girls, we win out on these matters of coldness.

So I made him get me a space heater. Which he thinks I use way too frequently and freely and he’s probably right. Anytime I’m in his room, it’s cranked up on high.

Little does he know that I actually used to carry a mini one around with me from room to room. That really could have been a pre-engagement deal breaker … but now … he’s stuck. Nothing he can do about it.

This morning, when my alarm first went off at 7:45, and I fumbled around to set it for 8:05, I also turned on the heater. Because who in their right mind wants to get out of bed when it’s freezing? Right – no one.

By 8:30, I realized I really needed to get my ass up. So I rolled out of bed, literally and onto the floor for my morning stretches. The first thing I do when I wake up is a yoga rag doll exercise. It stretches out the legs and is wonderful for the hips and sciatic nerve, basically helping to get the legs warmed up and the energy flowing.

As I’m in the middle of this stretch, my upper thigh {since I was moving around a bit naturally}, hit the space heater. And holy shit. Was that thing hot! O.M.G. I had no idea!

No idea how freaking lit up those things can get! My thigh is STILL burning. Still fire-esque. Unreal. It was almost too much to handle and I thought definitely deemed me fit for relaxing in bed a bit longer … but, alas … here I am …

Not in bed. Another gloomy, rainy day that I love. With a nice burn at my side. Bring it, Wednesday.
