Found : On My Phone : From Paris.

Last night, I was frantically trying to come up with every damn combination of what my bank password could possibly be, while swearing it just had to be right. This happens way too frequently.

I can’t remember my password, even though I basically use the same password combo for everything, and then get horribly confused because wtf! WHY do we have to have a GD password for every single thing now?! Do not get it.

I happen to keep all my important passwords under the “Notes” in my iphone. I love the Notes. I use it everyday but then I end up with this super long list of “Notes” that for the most part are irrelevant, till something semi important happens, like being able to log into my bank account and then I start swearing. A lot. And swearing that from here on out I will vow to remember my password!

It’s a cycle. And a circle. I doubt it will change. I have embraced this fact.

While I didn’t have luck on my bank info, I did come across this Parisian memento. From le 5 avril:

It rained this afternoon. A light rain, with a strong, blowing wind. My first inclination was to rush back to the Pont Neuf métro. Instead I sat on one of the stone benches on that ancient bridge; Paris’ oldest bridge. My view of Ile-de la-Cité — Eiffel Tower off in the distance. L’institut de France and the Pont des Arts. The Louvre. The fading sign of La Samaritaine. Notre Dame. Paris is so beautiful in the rain, it sparkles to me, there is another added layer of beauty and mystery. Glistening stones. Stories from the beginning of time. Alone we sat together. Stillness in the midst of wind. Is that what they mean when keeping calm? How is it Paris helps me understand things? I see clearly here. Life is new and fresh. I close my eyes to try to keep this memory and knowing. So when I find myself having one of those days at home, I can remember this bench, and the truth of approaching everything with wonder and possibility.

Thank you, Paris. Even when I’m not with you, you help me see anew.
