Home.

Quick words and fading eyes here tonight.

I am home for the weekend — back in The DCA.

Home.

Strange. Familiar. Comforting. While uncomfortable. Many things all in one. But the important thing is: Maman and I are together. This is all that matters.

We spent the afternoon into evening at Tyson’s. I still think it’s the best mall that has ever existed. The entire time revolved around trying on dresses. Some winners, some big losers. Of course, I found every non wedding dress that I absolutely fell in love with and adored. Because that seems to be what naturally happens. Hell bent on finding one thing, while another calls out to you.

Tomorrow we shall return for Round Deux. And hopefully a little sightseeing while we’re at it. Can’t wait to get my fill of the monuments and the gorgeous D.C. sights. How I love this city.

For now it is sleep and the wonderful knowing that I get to wake up with my Mama cooking breakfast and coffee waiting. There really is nothing like a mama. All that love and support and love.

Sweet Dreams.
