I thought about this, after catching the phrase … somewhere. Can’t remember what I was reading.
So … just what does love look like?
The first image that came to mind were of those I love … The BF, my family, dear friends. Of course, Johnny Johnita Barnes, Eros and Murph. All my animal loves.
But love is also … the sky and moon and stars and bright shining sun. It’s the shadows my feet make on the pavement while I walk Murphy. Flowers — any kind. It’s trees and my favorite foods. It’s when I take a deep breath of fresh air. Yoga and movement. The arts. Travel. Cities.
Love also looks a lot like what I think it wouldn’t … people hurting and in need. The unpleasant things I sometimes want to turn a blind eye to, then think better of.
Love looks like action and caring and thoughtfulness.
I suppose it’s a little of everything and in everything, because love makes no exceptions.
