When It’s Time, It’s Time.

I received some very shocking news this morning : my fave co-worker died last night of a massive heart attack. At age 43.

Remember when that was anciently old? I do. Amazing the age perspective that happens as you yourself become older.

It’s strange, isn’t it. This whole teetering on the edge of life and death? Because we all are. At any moment. It’s just easier not to think about it, because it might cloud our ability to live.

But I’ve been thinking about it all morning … how I possibly couldn’t have known, yet if I had known, what would I have done differently?

I guess I have to turn it over to The Universe and believe that when it’s time, it’s time. There is a bigger plan and purpose, that while I might not understand at all times, is being played out in some kind of way that actually does make sense.

And our job, our responsibility to one another is to love. It’s to leave each other uplifted. At all times. This way, when our People go, we know we were a part of that love, the kind that leaves our lives better and fuller.

That’s what matters. Go love on your People today, People.
