Simple Pleasures.

Being a new mom has me appreciating the simple things in ways that were previously inconceivable.

Take showers, for one example. I thought I always had a pretty good appreciation for them. Oh hell no. Nothing compared to the pure gratitude I have now.

This is what happens when you’re only able to wash your hair three times a week. You live that shit up. Because you now truly comprehend how precious that hair washing time is, how the angels must be singing from up upon high glorious those minutes are when the water is dripping down your back.

And dinner. Or any meal for that matter, where you’re able to make it through and eat your food, without shoving it in and barely chewing to either feed a screaming baby or avoid a near Def Con 9 baby hungry meltdown.

That FOH. I tell ya, People. He has me thankful for so very much. Meaning: he keeps me in check to enjoy. To not take for granted any of these little things, because the little things are what adds up to the big things.
