Sacred Heart.
More than anything, I dig the name. Granted, the UNESCO World Heritage sight isn’t too bad, either.
This summer, I sat through a good 30 minutes of a French mass here. I closed my eyes and listened — I listen better with my eyes closed when hearing French, particularly when it comes to lots of Bible-y words that I’m not so familiar with.
And I wondered if I looked weird. Sitting there. Eyes closed. Head tilted. I thought maybe it made me look more serious … more “God-like”, or at least more into God.
I’m such a people watcher that I then always wonder the thoughts running through strangers’ minds when it comes to people watching me.
