I know I’m supposed to enjoy these moments ,too.

The packing and craziness and last minute errands and details of leaving.

But I don’t. I’d much prefer to fast forward to about 11p.m. tonight, when we’ve been on the road for {hopefully} a couple of hours already.

We’ve discovered that the best time for us to travel in the car for more than five hours, is at night. Because anything than more than five hours is going to be hovering around 8-9 and it’s much easier with a sleeping toddler.

We also prefer how calm and empty the roads are.

So I’m throwing clothes in suitcases right now — I mean packing and not thinking about any of it too much.

Because my favorite thing about being at the lake is me in constant Lululemon tops and Athleta bottoms.

It’s lakeside chic and it’s my kind of relaxed yet still stylish kind of style … because even in workout wear, I’m vain enough to want to be looking good.

Yes, I’ll admit it.
