Buddha Walk.

As though I haven’t been mentioning Mr. Enlightenment enough lately … I found him on the side of this house. During a walk, of course.

B, Brother and I were hauling down the street, in full walk mode. Well, it was more like me trying to keep up with B {she sets a crazy ridiculously fast pace – that’s a Pointer for you} and Brother as I’m calling out, “Hey! Wait for me!”. Which always takes me back to my younger years growing up with Brother 1&2, trying to keep pace but never quite measuring up to their speed.

So yeah, I almost missed Buddha in my haste to step up the pace. Naturally I thought it was totally a sign to slow down a bit and take in the walk. Brother totally knew it was me just needing a breather. Might have had something to do with the shortness of breath as I made the suggestion.

The street we were walking was a bit … sub par … meaning in Total Taurean lingo: rough. A lot of the homes looked like they needed work.

What I so appreciated, finding Buddha here, was the wonderful symbolicness {I think I just made that a word} of it. I felt like he was saying: in the midst of any condition, any circumstance, there is the chance for transformation and transcendence.

Buddha, I couldn’t agree more.
