I’m not Catholic.

And I don’t really like to refer to myself as Christian — I prefer to leave labels out of it — though I do believe, strongly, and wholeheartedly in God.

I like to draw from all religions — all roads lead to Mecca.

So on this Ash Wednesday, I like to view it as a day where I give attention to my life where attention is needed.

What can I improve upon? What habits do I want to change and what changes do I want to make — lasting ones at that.

This is a day where we are reminded : love and be love.
