Missing my grandfather.

I drove by his house, feeling overcome with emotion.

When I’m looking to feel safe + secure, I come by here. I see me as a little girl, running around in the front yard, trying to keep up with my brothers. I see many moments of my life played out in front of me. And I remember that what I’m looking to feel isn’t held inside a place or places.

It’s here, within me.
