I Want.

All of us should feel good about wanting what we want.

Obvious, I know, right?

Then why is it that we all struggle to be alright with this wanting and desire of having … whatever it is that we’re wanting?

I think this can become one messy, cluster f*ck of resistance and worthiness and a whole host of other “stuff” — being that emotional junk we all inevitably carry around to some degree.

Maybe some of us were scolded and made to feel bad for wanting things when we were children. Or maybe we feel like we’ve wanted and wanted and … nada.

What we want doesn’t come.

So we lessen our wants.

We’re afraid to want and to ask for big things.

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard someone say, “who am I to ask for that?”

Well, who aren’t you?

It would be one thing if no one out there achieved great things, but there are people out there and amazing things are happening everyday, every second.

I figure, why not have that be me then?

Often times I feel as though there is an almost inherent disdain or dislike for those who have a lot.

Be it great wealth, an expensive car or home, or all around nice things in general.

We make them out to be “greedy” or “not spiritual” or “not a good person”. Like someone can’t be wonderful and have so much physical manifestation?

I think we should all try to want more and be more in our personal lives — whatever that may be.

I’m not one to judge anybody’s desires, no one should be.

If we all put more energy into wanting, I really do believe there could be a huge shift and change, not just personally. But in the world in general.

There’s a certain excitement, power and hope that comes from wanting. IF we allow it.
