Real Life.

Okay, so a few things to start with:

Yes, I am still using the bucket seat. That snaps into The Stroller. Hell yes I am. Who wants to deal with getting a toddling toddler out of their seat into said stroller. Or worse yet: the shopping cart.

Is this just me that has an aversion to getting children out of their carseats? I opt for containment when and if at all possible, People.

I know I don’t have much longer where I can get away and do this. Time is ticking here, and I hear that clock.

James is at the sweet sixteen of months and soon I am transitioning him out of the seat and into Jack’s previous Diono.

Until that moment comes, I shall cherish every single outing where I can quickly pop in a store with him still in the carseat, as I whizz around pushing the stroller and using the under carriage as my shopping “cart.”

It’s a beautiful thing, People. Even more beautiful when he falls asleep.

What’s not so beautiful? When a sleeping babe wakes up, in the middle of a store, and is all WTF mom?!

This is real life. Me trying to do a grocery haul as quickly as possible with a shrieking — make that screaming — toddler.

Also, yes — that is his Halloween costume he’s wearing. Skeleton pajamas. Whomever came up with the brilliant idea of Halloween pajamas that can double as a costume is my hero.
