Being a Mother :

It’s the single most terrifying thing I’ve ever done, and probably, ever will.

But here’s the thing, People. What I’ve learned:

Jack taught me that there is nothing to fear. It’s just an illusion. I was beyond scared when I found out I was pregnant with him — all of it filled me with absolute terror.

James taught me : nothing is impossible. That where love is, possibility is — and it’s all possible.

I cannot think of any greater gift for someone to give me. I know it’s Mother’s Day, but I can’t think of this day without thinking of what my kids have done for me and how they have irrevocably changed me in the greatest of ways.

How they are my master teachers.
