The Light In Enlightenment.

I was thinking, during Zen — which that right there already should tell you something … here I am supposed to be empty of thoughts and thoughts are coming in faster than the Daytona 500 {is that even an analogy?}. When one particular idea came to me …

Maybe this whole enlightenment thing, this whole being Buddha-esque is as simple as being light. That the light in enlightenment is the whole key.

If I think about it, and I did, extensively during meditation, no master or gifted teacher out there is heavy … there is a lightness that they exude. So what if we took this lightness to bear in all things … traveling light, staying light … not being bogged down by unnecessary worry or the daily b.s.

Maybe we make all this a lot harder than it has to be. That enlightenment is continually a place, not one ending place … where lightness of spirit and being shines through.
