I’m sure you can take a guess at what kind of day it is … why yes! Yes, you’re right! However did you know?
It’s warm and sunny.
Super warm, I might add. Anything adding “super” in it means serious stuff.
I cannot even tell you how much I just adore spring and warm sunshiney {is that a word?} days. It completely uplifts me, energizes me … I feel super {serious, I’m telling ya, serious} charged and connected to … to what? Well, let’s see … The Universe and nature. What else would you expect – I am an Earth sign.
When I’m feeling the heat, the ideas also start flowing … particularly travel ones. Which we all know really means one thing: France.
I’m dreaming of the beach in Nice right now … feeling that sun warming my skin. Sipping some champagne {is that the life or what?}. I’m also thinking about Paris Plages — and that is pronounced sans the “s”.
Yep. It’s true: Good ‘ol Paris has a beach! Alright, so it’s totally fake and man made, but who cares? A beach is a beach. Transforming anything in Paris into a beach … I’ll take it.
Now. I actually have not ever experienced Paris Plages because it usually begins I believe around the end of July to the end of August. Four weeks. And somehow I’ve always missed that timeframe by a week or so.
They bring in tons of sand and beach chairs and umbrellas — even palm trees! — and transform the whole Seine area into … the plage {beach}. Yes. Totally BA {that’s bad ass}.
As Brother and I get our walk on today, a rather long one at that — we’re all about taking advantage of 70 degree weather — I’m sure I’ll be trying to scheme up ways to make Paris Plages happen.
Pourquoi Pas? That’s why not, en English.
