This whole daylight savings of springing forward never sits right with me … at first.
I mean, it’s not like you ever find yourself saying: Gosh, I’m running a whole hour ahead of schedule, that sucks.
No. Instead we’re thrilled by that extra hour … okay, so let me speak only for myself and say I am thrilled.
Whereas, I find it a heck of a lot more difficult to lose an hour … like I’m trying to play catch up all day long with it.
But that’s okay, because I actually do love this springing forward. It’s such a representation of warm, long, sunshine days to come.
Of ice cream cones and longs walks. Lounging poolside. Soaking in warmth and sun.
What’s not to like about daylight till 8 or 9p.m. … or if you’re in Paris or Douglas Lake … 10p.m.?
It’s inspiring to me.
As if to say: “Spring is here”, it is 70 today.
70!
Brother and I enjoyed an awesome long walk. And we’re going to head out for another one … I came up with the brilliant idea to walk to get some ice cream. B will be thrilled — we always get her a baby cone.
I also like the thought of springing forward as a means of taking a chance or moving ahead on something … anything … even if it’s something little, like reading a book {you can guess whose that might be}.
We should all pick something to spring forward on … or someone. We could do that, too.
