That would be as in road tripping. With the girls.
Yep. My first girls’ road trip since … since … well, I’m not going to tell you exactly how long that would be — how about we just leave it at a good 5+ years.
Plus, I don’t really remember much from that trip … it was for a wedding and things got a bit crazy that weekend. Meaning: alcohol over indulgement. That’s what happens when you’re young. I mean, younger. Who hasn’t gone through one of those stages?
I’m really quite excited! Our departure time is noon … okay, so really that means 12:30, because I always run a good 30 behind when it comes to road trips. But. At least I know this about myself and make sure everyone has fair warning: you say 12, it’s gonna be 12:30.
Kind of like how one should always add an extra 15 on to whatever time I say I’ll be somewhere. The friends call it the “LC 15”. And yes, I was LC, way before Miss Lauren Conrad took it. I claimed that one years ago.
However, when it comes to something really important — some big event or meeting — I am on time, usually a good ten minutes early. Because really, I don’t like to be late for anything.
So this girls gone tripping weekend, since there’s no girls gone wild here, is all about the following: connecting and rejuvenating, a la fresh air, surrounded by mountains. I know, totally bad ass for someone like me who wants to chillax in nature.
There’s going to be lots and lots of yoga, hikes and organic food … we’re actually going to be staying on a gorgeous organic farm. If only you could see me right now, I can hardly contain myself.
Mountains, yoga, and good food. Oh, hell yes. I am all over this. I guess I should also throw some naps in there, won’t be complete without a couple of those, too.
Stay tuned for weekend recap.
