Closing Ceremonies.

In case you thought it was just The Olympics that have closing ceremonies, think again. According to one Total Taurus {who shall remain unnamed}, trips have closing ceremonies, too.

It’s a necessary thing … this sort of ceremony.

And also, just so you know, it’s not that I haven’t wanted to write about The Olympics … on the contrary, I have … a lot.

It’s just how to write about it? How to describe these feats that defy what the human body is capable of.

And quite honestly, I don’t want to cry or tear up anymore than I already have. Because, yes, I keep crying while watching the Olympics. I can’t stop.

Someone wins a gold medal, I cry. Someone doesn’t win a medal, I cry. One of those inspirational stories is featured, I cry.

I was beginning to wonder, WTF is up with these emotions?

What it is is this … witnessing people lining up with their true intention, leveraging the power of energy when one is connected to their greater purpose and Source … that is seen, it is felt, even thousands of miles away on a television screen.

I listen to these athletes speak, and I am reminded of not only who I am, but who we all are — this state of excellence and commitment to self.

I hear them say things like, “I knew I would win”. “I am the best.” “I wanted this since I was a little girl.”

It’s the result of focused desire, manifested in physical form. And it’s f-ing inspiring … unbelievably so for me.

So, while we’re gearing up for the end of another Olympics … Brother, The BF and I are closing the chapter on another successful DL run.

We bid our aideus, looking ahead to DL 2013, which I know … will be here before we all know it.

The Northern Country Trails that await our return … the forests that Hemingway grew up in as a child … the sunsets and the lake … and that crystal clear, turquoise that Lake Michigan radiates on a sunny afternoon …

We close for now … to continue again …
