The Protest Continues.

I’m not really sure how much longer I can keep my protesting up. Even for me, this is getting a bit drastic.

Have you seen me in winter? No, you probably haven’t. Well, let me tell you, it’s not a pretty sight. At all. Your girl here can’t handle it.

So this is me, holding out hope, and showing you how my sandals are literally falling apart. And basically saying a nice, “F YOU” to these cold temps. It should not, just should not, be 26 {yes, that’s degrees} on a mid-November morning.

It’s just plain wrong. Especially seeing as we still have a good month or so to go till it’s officially winter.

This scares me, People. It really does. I already asked The BF where he was planning our romantic, warm winter getaway. Right, and it’s not even winter.

It takes everything in me not to start going into hibernation mode right about now. Because that’s all I want to do. Note Exhibit A:

I want to sleep long hours and then lounge in bed even longer, with these lovies — which let me tell ya, it’s like impossible to get up when you’re surrounded by animals and purrs.

This weather also makes me want comfort foods, like Twix. Or perhaps some Double Stuffed Oreos? Which, by the way, TC showed up with yesterday.

So I was all, “oh, you shouldn’t have. ” And he was all, “oh, I didn’t, don’t worry. These aren’t for YOU! GOD DAMN. They’re for the kids.”

Yes, the kids.  Of course. Kids being my charming and adorable M&M’s {the niece and the neph}.

Holy hell, they arrive in one week. Maman in one week plus one day. No one’s even here and I’m already feeling the pressure. And I’m not even cooking — no one would want that to happen anyway — so I don’t really know why I’m stressing.

It’s makeastress. Like make believe but you’re making up stress. I get really good at that, especially during holiday season.

So. I’m going to vow to change how I do things this holiday season … stay tuned for that … it’s going to be full of all sorts of great things, like how we can help each other and stay centered and calm {hello, yoga} and give.

Give, give give and then give some more. Because that’s what we do, isn’t? Everyday. Even when we don’t realize it.

We’re giving something of ourselves to everyone we encounter. So we might as well make it good.
