This just might be my absolute fave pic of me and The BF.

For starters, it’s us in our element — at beloved Douglas Lake. After a long day of hiking and swimming. Getting ready to watch the sunset.

Brother insisted on a pic, which I wasn’t feeling … as if any self respecting girl wants her picture taken after a long day of exercising and moving that booty.

But then I thought better. That I shouldn’t be so hung up on having stringy, sweat drenched hair, nor the fact that I look like I prob have a minimum of three stomach rolls going on {really, I really don’t … Lulu was not cooperating, how dare that Lulu}.

Sometimes it’s the not so perfect pictures that end up being the best — and ones that remain un-Instagrammed by me {for the time being, at least} … we can try all we want to … the lipstick, the hair, the right pose … yet when all is said and done … this is what I treasure more.

The simplicity of us as us. No frills. No props. Just two people who’ve found each other, basking in the appreciation of nature … and love.
