The Day Before.

I always find the day before a trip to be complete and utter chaos.

No matter how far and how long I’m leaving. The time part seems to be totally irrelevant. It’s almost midnight and while I am for the most part packed, I still keep thinking of things I need to do.

More like should do, which means it probs isn’t going to happen. Because I’d much prefer to be hanging out with Johnny B and Eros. They calm me, bring me back to right here and right now — not packing and thinking about how many hours I’m going to be in the car tomorrow and stops that need to happen before we get on the road.

I think that’s the beauty of our beasts. They are these powerful, tuned in creatures that get it. I’m hoping I can be more like them. I mean, I do love a good long nap. And food. And warm sunshine.

That’s it. I just need to be like a damn cat. I might have just cracked the life mystery code, People. Cats. Figures.
