Feeling It.

Okay. Two days of back to back 10+ miler hikes and I am feeling it.

My legs feel it. My back and shoulders feel it. Oddly enough, I find myself still craving more. If it weren’t for the fact that I was psychotic and pushed through already bad blisters {only to get worse blisters}, I’d be all over some trail action again today.

I’m not quite sure how I made it through yesterday, other than just being high on my love of nature. I forgot that blisters are not something to mess around with. Ever.

I felt pretty damn good the whole time, it was just the return 5.2 miles that started to hurt my feet. But it was so so worth it. Those North Country Trails are a dream. Just simply a dream.

Prior to, Brother and I stopped by Brutus to load up on carbs and a huge breakfast, you know, give us some fuel power.

Brutus. Best. Breakfast. I don’t say these things lightly, either. Truly is.

Come on! What’s not to love about a place that even has Hemingway mugs?! Should you ever find yourself Up North, swing by and be sure to order some French Toast, a specialty.

We had a pretty low key evening, given that we didn’t get back till almost 7 and took time to yoga and then dinner, etc.

But I did catch some incredible fireworks over the lake. Quite a show. It’s always inspiring to see light lighting up the dark.

This afternoon is more wedding deets {ugh!} and sailing. I think that’s what today’s candy will be — getting out and just being on the water.

Stretching out and relaxing while Brother does the hard work of sailing across lake end to lake end.

Candy. It’s really great when you have someone around to do things for you.
