Samples.

I’m a sucker for samples, of any kind.

It’s kinda a bad habit I have. I think I get it from Maman. In particular, I have a weakness for perfume samples. One of the {many many} reasons I love Nordstrom.

Go to Nordstrom and they’ll give you a sample of any and all perfumes and colognes. This is very important, because I think choosing a scent to wear is a really big deal. A girl needs to be sure how it smells and reacts on the skin! It’s no thing to just rush into.

Lately I’ve been into Tom Ford’s Black Orchid.

Let me also add in Chanel’s Coco Noir.

Clearly I’m into the “black” darky/woodsy scents {hence the “noir”} this wintery, cold season. I also really like the unisex scents {i.e. Black Orchid}.

Which must be why and the only reason I can think of that for the past week I switched up my perfume sample and kept thinking, mmm it’s a little masculine, something with a hint of man to it with a feminine kick.

Except it wasn’t perfume. It was The BF’s cologne sample. Yes, I’m just shamless when it comes to the samples. You should have seen my poker face the last time I was at Nordstrom in the Men’s section and the employee, as I reached for my fourth handful of cologne samples that were out said, we just decided to try again with our cologne samples. People were taking too many at a time. Who does that?

I shook my head and agreed and pretended to be outraged, like, yeah, WHO does do that? Me, that’s who. Have I said shameless yet?

So turns out I’m into colognes maybe a little more than perfumes. Now if only this sample was marked, so I could look up who it is. I’ll just have to take it with me next time I’m in Nordstrom … and then grab a few handfuls of some more.
