March Gladness.

Forget the madness. Let’s get our gladness on!

I can’t really watch basketball, anyway. Not for more than 30 minutes, and only if there’s a really good looking team playing. Hey, eye candy never hurts. Isn’t that the beauty of uniforms?

My girl over at Momastery is doing a gratitude experiment. I love her. I like to pretend we’re real life friends. I sometimes forget that we aren’t, since we lived on the same street in Virginia. Just a few houses apart. Granted, at totally different times, but it still feels like street and friendship cred.

She’s pretty darn brilliant because she’s very simple and honest and she seems to say all the things I think that sometimes don’t make it out of my mouth.

She’s all about love as The Way, so I don’t think I need to go on.

Needless to say, I’m down with this gratitude experiment. Except I’m going to call it my Being Thankful experiment, only because I prefer thankful to gratitude. And this is What You Be, so I gotta keep a BE in there somewhere.

My senior year in high school, I started a five things I’m thankful for today journal that continued for years. Eventually, as happens to most journals, it fell off and I stopped.

Let’s be part of the gratitude/thankful/gladness movement and you can start back up with me. It doesn’t have to be five things. If you want make it three, but let’s try to aim for at least three.

Here are mine today, in no particular order:

1. Crocuses

2. Warmer Weather

3. Sunsets

4. That moment when the song you want to hear comes on the radio

5. The sound of Johnny Barnes and Eros purring

Be glad, Be happy about something today; Be Thankful!
