She thinks it’s so cool to change a diaper and give him a bottle and hold him.

Don’t worry, I’m taking full advantage on the diaper changing front. Have at it, girl! Knock your little diaper changing heart out. You won’t hear any protests from this end.

Dolls are one thing but having the real deal is in a whole other realm. How I remember those days myself … having an actual baby around and how damn cool I thought it was.

I laughed today when she suggested that we just go ahead and tell everyone that FOH is her little brother. Exactly what I would have said at her age. I agreed that it was a wonderful idea.

It’s hard to imagine, but the day will come when they’re all in their 20s and she’ll be telling FOH about those days when she wiped his butt.

Is it strange that I’m unable to think that far ahead in time? That I can’t even think of things with FOH a year from now?

My focus is on right now … taking things day by day and what a relief that is. The beauty of the present moment.
