Just Home.

We just arrived. Okay, so not just.

It’s been 20 minutes. Or maybe close to 30. I’m not really paying attention because I’m so GD out of it. And it’s after 4. In the morning. And driving through the night does something batty to me.

But simply put, it’s the best case scenario and option when you have young children. Plus I wasn’t about to deal with a one year old during waking, day time hours, who is confined to a car seat.

That’s a living nightmare. Let me tell you. I have lived it. I hope never to again. The car {during the day} is way worse than any plane. At least on a plane, there’s still room for a baby to stand and sit.

You have no idea how much entertainment there is just standing on a plane. It’s a beautiful thing. Plus there is still room for babies to move around. Sure, it’s on the nasty floor but no one in their right mind gives a shit about plane {shoe} germs if it’s keeping a baby quiet and happy. No one.

So we left close to 8p.m. FOH was out a little after 8. I was out a little after 8. For about one hour and then I was on edge the rest of the drive home. We hit some heavy pockets of rain and well, it just makes me edgy when it is dark and late and rainy and dealing with a slick interstate.

I am so thrilled to be home!

No place like it in the world.
