At 3a.m. if I should just go ahead and get up.

Start the day.

Does that ever happen to you?

So restless is your mind that it’s easier to give in than try to calm your racing thoughts down — which, for the record, is what I attempted.

And it must have worked, on some small level at least, because I did fall asleep.

I have been reminded, once again, how necessary this long deep breathing and meditation practice is and that it is just that — practice.

I can’t expect to get anywhere if I’m not putting in the inner work and time it takes.

Be good to yourself today. Go sit in silence.
