Can’t We Just All Get Along?

I was reminded of this simple yet challenging notion while walking B and coming across the below statement.

I love the pureness that children naturally possess. Things seem so much less complicated as a child, because they are. Ever notice that? How kids never turn things into a big cluster f*&%?

When left to their own devices, they instinctively gravitate to the interests and people that speak to them.

I did say “left to their own devices”, because typically, poor behavior is a learned pattern of observation.

Is it really that difficult?

Do we have to go and kill other people and try to assert what we think is best?

Everyone has their own idea of what “best” is, and simply acts from that perspective. There doesn’t have to be anything to judge or condemn about it.

Can’t everyone just go about their own lives with their own beliefs.

And be friends.

I know, I’m very idealistic.

It’s a quality I hope I never lose. Same for the mystery writer here.
