One of my most favorite metro stops in Paris.

I call it my gateway stop.

When you walk out of Cite, you are greeted with the awe-inspiring sight of Saint Chapelle and Notre Dame is just around the corner, as is Shakespeare and Company.

It’s a connector, on The Left Bank, but seconds away from crossing over to The Right Bank {via Le Pont Neuf}.

The Cite stop — it makes my heart skip a beat. In excitement and anticipation. There are few sights I find more positively breathtaking than stepping out in the heart of Paris, People.
