Of a little boy. A refugee.
Just about FoH’s age.
The image has been haunting me all day.
Standing in the cold.
No child should have to be subjected to sub-human standards of living — No person for that matter — should be.
I can’t help but wonder … what if that was me? You? Your sister? Your brother … father … mother … cousin … aunt … uncle? We all belong to someone.
I would hope if I that was me and my little family, someone would help us.
My heart breaks wide open for all of those living in challenging conditions, not just the refugees, because when I look around within my own community, I see the glaring need of those who don’t have enough. Who are hungry.
And the only thing I can think to do is act — to do something, no matter how small it may seem, because I know that energy will carry on. And if we all acted, we’d all be taken care of.
I really think it’s that simple, People.
We just need : to take care of one another.
