Have the state of things actually come to this?

A reminder that you should wash your hands.

Notice I said should. Because that’s what it said on the door.

Should wash your hands after use.

You’ve got to be kidding me.

Do we really need to be reminded that it’s important to wash our hands?

Clearly we do, because these signs are posted everywhere I go.

You know, all those “Employees Must Wash Hands” — and I’m not just talking about state standard health code here.

I wondered … if … everyone did the right thing. Whether that is washing one’s hands or turning in a lost wallet, how much things would instantly shift in our world.

Why is it that we have to be told and reminded?

Maybe it’s just me who has more faith in humanity that everyone could live in a way that is best for serving themselves and others.

Recognizing that the other is them.
