The sun rising and setting each day completely astounds me.

I am well aware that many consider this an ordinary occurrence. Or don’t even think about it all.

But for me, it’s representative of so much more. Hope. New beginnings.

A clear slate. The closing of a day to welcome tomorrow.

Today’s sunrise was spectacular. To see those shades of pinks and oranges and purples breaking out through the clouds settled my soul.
