Thursday D-Day.

People!

We’re skipping town and flying high.

It’s always at about the six month mark from my last trip where I get the travel itch. Where I feel the tug, the pull and the yearning:  to just drop and go.

Granted, dropping and going during a school year is a rather delicate dance of planning, prioritizing and organized execution. All of which I actually and luckily possess.

It also has to be do-able. As in D.C. doable.

So Brother, FoH and I are taking off. I try to never go anywhere without Brother. Because, we all know I can’t do life without him.

Maman is super excited that we’re coming to see her. FoH is super excited about his airplane. Yes, his.

I let him know that his mama was very relieved that at not quite four, he already owns a plane. Not too bad, kid.

I’m just super excited to leave. Get out. New perspectives in my home of 22+ years. And get some serious family time in … sporting events of The Littles to see … and of course, the simple act of being in the midst of Life.
