This is what I said when I woke up this morning:
I’ve got to remember to spring back tonight.
HA – springing back. And what? We’d fall forward?
There’s a huge insight into how my mind works.
But you know, I kinda like that … springing back.
For some reason, I’ve always found setting the clocks back to hold a tinge of sadness and nostalgia for me. The sadness part, I can’t really explain … and it’s only a little … just something I can’t quite put my finger on.
Maybe because I love spring, I love being able to stay out till 9 p.m. and there’s still light in the sky.
Maybe because it symbolizes a move more indoors. Curling up. Staying warm.
I’m not a cold weather kind of girl.
There are things that I do like about it. I mean, what’s not great about gaining that extra hour?
Hello, sleep.
And it excites me that the holidays are just around the corner.
What memories do you think of when springing back? I mean, falling back.
So have an extra hour of fun while you’re out tonight and don’t forget to set those clocks back.
