Not like I’m complaining here but … what is going on with the weather?
I can’t ever remember a time here on the East Coast when in Mid-March it’s been 80 — yes, 80! — degrees.
Everything is in bloom and it feels more like the end of April than anything.
I am taking full advantage of these warm days and spending as much time as possible outside.
During our walk today, as I was discussing just how good spring feels … this warmth and that lovely, fresh smell of air — you know that one I’m talking about? — I noticed this in someone’s front yard. I usually think anything with words on it in a front yard is tackified {that’d be as in tacky} but how could I not like “Give Thanks”?
Exactly, I couldn’t.
So I did. I gave my thanks … for this perfectly gorgeous day, for afternoon walks, and most importantly — for ice cream and any candy-esque item one is able to eat on said walk.
Good things to give thanks for.
This reminded me of my junior year in high school … I started a “Today I am thankful for” journal and listed five things I was happy about each day. I think I’ll start that back up. Here goes …
1. Walks with Brother and B.
2. Warm, sunny weather.
3. Icecream.
4. Birds chirping.
5. Random people who say hi on our walks.
What are you thankful for today?
