Party Time.

What a day, People.

A joint third and sixth birthday is serious stuff. Three hours of presents, cake, and absolute chaotic craziness was had.

Along with minimal tears {only one crier!}, lots of “hey! I was playing with that!”, one shit and two F bombs. Is there anything more hilarious than when kids cuss and have no idea what they’re really saying?

I’d say this party was a solid success.

While this is such a short trip for such a long distance, every second of today has been worth it. These are the times that matter, that I hope my M&M’s will look back on with fondness and laughter, knowing how much they are loved and supported.

Isn’t this what it’s about? The birthdays, and celebrations. Being together as an imperfect, yet just right as it is family.

So in love with these two. And Pinatas. I think I finally got over my fear of hitting a Pinata with an audience.

Even from a young age I was extremely uncomfortable in the spotlight — of any kind. Funny how long we carry these things with us.

This afternoon, as I whacked one Hello Kitty Pinata {okay, so I can’t really say “whacked”, maybe more like lightly hit — didn’t want to ruin it for the chillens}, it was more symbolic of me breaking through and hitting my own barriers.

See. Just goes to show … one never knows when these enlightening moments will come to us. Ah. The beauty of life.
