Can’t beat it.

Currently, as I type, I hear the pitter patter of little feet running up and down the hall above me. And high whispers of “shhhhh, we have to be QUIET.”

Obviously, nap time isn’t really happening right now and Auntie here isn’t in the mood to bust up the anti nap party … yet. Give me a few more minutes, once it starts interfering with my own nap time.

What can I say? These kids are just too darn cute. I can’t handle the cuteness.

We’ve just recently returned from a nice, high energy induced swim at the pool. Lots of running around, jumping and splashing. I had forgotten just how fun squirt guns can be.

I completely adore my niece and nephew. What’s there not to just love to pieces? My favorite is story time … when they snuggle up close to me. Looking and pointing at the pictures. Asking their questions. Wanting my opinion. Their eyes get all heavy. They tell me they love me, their little hands reaching to hold onto me and all I can think is:

This is what it’s all about. Life.
