With warmer temperatures slowly approaching and slowly coming and going, Murph and I have been seeing many more People out and about.
More dogs, more kids, more adults. Everyone is coming out of the woodwork.
Last week during one of our walks, a woman on the other side of the street, frantically trying to control her standard poodle, said, you’re the one I saw walking all winter long, aren’t you?
Why yes, that would be I, the crazy one.
Every time I saw you walk by, I blessed you, hoping you would be safe and kept warm.
I was really touched by these words from a complete stranger. And I thought that must have been an awful lot of blessings I received, since we only missed five days of walking this winter.
There is something magical about the word, blessing. Hopeful and let’s make that just plain … full. There is also something magical and loving in knowing that People you don’t even know, are rooting for you.
Giving you their best. Because a blessing is a best part of us.
I’m going to start blessing People more. It seems like a fun way of doing something good without having to go to any trouble … just sending that positive energy and thought.
And. If all we are is energy, including our thoughts {remember a single thought can be scientifically measured}, then we have to be able to feel on some, at least, subconscious level, the good thoughts being transmitted to us.
The Yogis say: bless and be blessed.
They know that in blessing, you’re not only helping The Other, you’re helping and in turn, blessing, you.
Go wild on your blessings today.
