New Places; New Faces.

Yesterday was a big day of firsts for FOH: Costco and the mall.

I wasn’t sure if I could count Chick-Fil-A just yet since he didn’t eat anything, but I think I can count first drive through experience.

He was a huge hit with all who crossed his path and I was thrilled to see how much he enjoyed new faces talking to him. He was his happy-go-lucky, dashing and charming self.

It’s great to begin to see the start of his personality coming through. Of course it’s been there from the beginning, but it was a muted down version. Now it’s smiles galore and laughter.

He is, just as I had the feeling while in utero, a damn good baby. He spoils me to the point that the times he does cry, I wonder why. Until I have to remind myself that he’s just ten weeks. Still.

Must be his wise little old soul stuck in the form of a babe that throws me.

Mid sample bite at Costco, a woman came up to me and said, honey these days might seem so slow but you hold on to him and cherish this right now. Oh, and kiss all those rolls.

A day can seem never ending at times, but I know, as with all things — it’s fleeting.

Doing my best to stay present and hold on.
