People. Today.

Today leaves me breathless with inspiration and awestruck at the beauty I witnessed.

I won’t try to do this day justice with words … words never get it really right anyway. It’s just the best we’ve been given to describe what moves us.

But what moves us is so much more powerful than any written account can ever convey.

This morning — left Rome and stopped in Terracina.

However, nothing could have prepared me for the utter wonder that is Sperlonga.

The history! The stories! The legends! My lord, I can only imagine the wild parties at this palatial spread.

I tell ya, I think I would have had a thing for that Tiberius … until realizing he was probably just a little bit of the jealous, controlling {abusive?} type. Jealously still remains one emotion that thankfully eludes me.

Just look! The remains of his Villa … can you imagine people? I stood right here today! This very spot where he stood. Perhaps moved by the same exact sight … contemplating the world beyond the ocean … and dreaming of all that could be.
