Winter Walk.

I was craving some great outdoors. Yes, even in this 20 degree weather.

That’s what happens when you’re an Earth sign. You need the nature.

So.

The BF and I and got our outdoorsyness on.

We checked out an awesome park that just so happens to be part of the Hopewell Earthworks. That’s right: Mounds.

Twin Creek MetroPark.

Omg.

You have no idea how pumped I was about this.

Ancient Earthworks on some dense snow covered trail.

So cool.

I was loving it!

And for anyone out there who thinks they can’t get out and walk in winter, I just want to remind you:

If you’re cold, you’re just not walking fast enough.

At least that’s what I tell myself. Plus it helps me move faster. Win-Win.

We had an incredible hike, on the appropriately named {by moi BF} trail: The Big O. We all know what that stands for.

Doesn’t that stick figure person look like he’s skiing? Or is that supposed to be a walking stick?

We also checked out a nearby dam. Also very cool.

I wonder how many calories I burned walking all the way up to the top here?

I should have been admiring the view more, but seriously, I kept wondering about those calories. And as a true testament to just how well the BF knows me …

He totally called it. Looked at me and said: I bet you’re trying to figure out how many calories you’ve burned off.

Busted.

So much for those math skills coming in handy.
